Comm v. J.D. - DUI REDUCED to Reckless Driving

March 2019

Client was referred to Ms. Carmichael after receiving a DUI charge. The BAC was determined from a blood draw rather than a breath test. Ms. Carmichael began a rigorous investigation that included subpoenas, witnesses, and medical records. Through thorough reviews and coordination with client, Ms. Carmichael approached the prosecutor with substantial materials. The prosecutor then agreed to reduce the charge to reckless driving. Client avoided restricted license, interlock, and other issues that accompany a DUI conviction.

Jessica Carmichael

Ms. Carmichael was named a Top Lawyer by Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine. Ms. Carmichael has been responsible for dismissals, acquittals, or reduced charges in many serious cases where her clients were unjustly charged.
