United States v. S.B. - Sentenced to Probation

March 2023

Client faced serious drug trafficking charges in federal court. The United States Sentencing Guidelines called for a sentence of 37-46 months. The prosecutors argued that a sentenced of 37 months was appropriate. Fortunately, the client was out on bond and working hard at several jobs, volunteer work, and self-improvement. That great work, coupled with vigorous advocacy, and highlighting the Attorney General's new policy on drug crimes and mandatory minimums for the Court, led the Court to sentence client to probation only and no incarceration.
